What does UV 400 Protection mean?
The safest bet is to buy sunglasses that provide UV 400 protection = 100% UV
protection. That means that the sunglasses protect your eyes from both UVA and
UVB radiation. Urban Street Shades offer this level of protection on all models.
UV protection typically lasts 2 years on sunglasses. You should replace them every
two years. If you wear your sunglasses more often or work in the sun, you should
replace them even more frequently.
What are Photochromic Lenses?
Our photochromic lenses automatically adjust the level of tint to suit the level of light you're in. Inside will be lighter and outside will be darker. These lenses allow you to navigate the day with one set of sunglasses. They offer 100% protection against harmful UVA, UVB, and UVC rays.
Our Polycarbonate lenses are the best choice for sunglasses because they are lightweight and significantly more impact resistant than lenses made of glass or other materials.
What’s the best way to clean my Sunglasses?
1. Apply a small drop of lotion-free dishwashing liquid to each lens. Most
dishwashing liquids are very concentrated, so use only a tiny amount. Or apply a
drop or two to your fingertip instead. Use only brands that do not include lotions or
hand moisturisers.
2. Gently rub both sides of the lenses and all parts of the frame for a few
seconds. Make sure you clean every part, including the nose pads and the ends of
the temples that rest behind your ears. Rinse both sides of the lenses and the frame
thoroughly.
3. Carefully dry the lenses and frame with the clean, lint-free cleaning cloth we
provided in your sunglass case.
